Macromedia Flash is one of the quickest and easiest software to work with. You can use mouse to animate in flash but for better results you will be needing a tablet. Click the link for information on tablets.
Lets get started
This is the user interface. The tools you'll need are highlighted as 1. Timeline is highlighted as 2
Quick short cuts:
"V" is for selection tool (You'll use it to either select something on the screen, or modify lines)
"Q" is also used for selection (You can use it to transform your selection)
"N" is the line tool (Hold it and drag, Go to properties at the bottom and you can modify you line)
"B" is the brush tool. (You can change the dimensions of the brush in the left corner once you select brush)
"Y" is for Pencil tool (same as line tool but with a wide range of motion)
"P" is for Pen (You'll use a lot of this if you're trying to animate anime)
"K" is for fill tool
"F5" is to insert a frame
"F6" is to convert into a separate frame
"F7" is for a blank keyframe
"<",">" move you around the timeline
"Space bar" is used as a hand tool (You'll need to keep your thumb on there)
"Ctrl+C", "CtrL+V" for copy and paste
These are the most important shortcuts you'll be needing through this course.
Double click right where it says 12fps in the timeline area and you can change the dimension and fps.
Most of the time the fps we'll be using will be 24.
Timeline Controls:
To extend a keyframe hit F5, To covert an extended keyframe hit F6.
This is really important
